Why Marcus & Shapira
We understand the legal landscape is changing. We just wonder what took so long. For more than 40 years, Marcus & Shapira has combined the efficiency and economy of a boutique law firm with the diverse practice and specialized expertise of the largest firms in the region. We can--and do--staff everything from the most complex antitrust cases to straightforward personal injury cases, and we do it with experienced attorneys who get right to the heart of the matter. We know our clients don't want a dozen lawyers when one or two will do.
Our lawyers come from some of the nation's top law schools, including the University of Chicago, Duke, Duquesne, George Washington University, Georgetown, Michigan, New York University, Penn, and the University of Pittsburgh. Most of our lawyers graduated with honors, served on Law Review, and many served as law clerks in federal or state courts. Still others came to Marcus & Shapira from some of the world's most prestigious "Big Law" firms. Two of our partners are former Assistant U.S. Attorneys.
Our collaborative culture and efficient business model allow our lawyers to quickly drill down on client issues that need immediate attention. We work rapidly to come up with the right strategy to help our clients achieve their goals, then we implement that strategy quickly and aggressively.
Flexible Fee Structures.
We have flexibility with respect to fee arrangements that larger firms often cannot provide. We not only provide services at an hourly rate, but also in certain cases we accept a fixed fee plus a premium for achieving specific results. On occasion, we offer a straight contingency arrangement.
We can take on virtually any matter. We avoid the corporate relationships that bring conflicts of interest, with only the most limited exceptions.
Our firm's standard of excellence is well known, and our track record among firms in the region is unmatched. Our lawyers regularly go toe to toe with some of America's biggest law firms with great success.
