Ms. Henk focuses her area of practice in civil litigation specializing in labor and employment, workers' compensation, family and collaborative law and real estate. Ms. Henk has litigated extensively in both the administrative and appellate levels throughout Pennsylvania and most recently in Ohio. Her litigation experience has provided her with an excellent medical and counseling background which affords her a unique approach in the litigation of her cases.
Ms. Henk has been trained as a collaborative law attorney and is a founding member of the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
In the area of workers' compensation, Ms. Henk argued a precedent setting case before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in which the Court held that a termination of benefits may be granted, despite the claimant's continued complaints of pain, where the employer presents an unequivocal expert opinion, which the Workers' Compensation Judge accepts, that the claimant is fully recovered, can return to work without restriction and the complaint of pain is either not supported by objective medical findings or not related to the injury. (Udvari v. WCAB (U.S. Air), 705 A.2d 1290 (Pa. 1997)).
Ms. Henk is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (Workers' Compensation Section). She is also a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association (Workers' Compensation Section).
